Conservative Management of Ischemic Uterine Injury Caused by Arterial Embolization for Postpartum Hemorrhage

Abstract
Arterial embolization is an effective and preferable management for massive hemorrhage in various field. Recently, many obstetricians choose obstruction of uterine artery via selective embolization in postpartum hemorrhage and embolization is very successful method. Complications of uterine arterial embolization include arterial rupture, hematoma, infection, allergic reaction, ischemic symptoms and necrosis of uterus and cervix. In previous Korean report, there was a case of hysterectomy after uterine arterial embolization for postpartum hemorrhage. We chose conservative management for ischemic uterine injury after arterial embolization for postpartum hemorrhage. We report this case with brief review of literature.
